Exigo is a local end-to-end operation that manufactures and delivers nappies from its base in Pietermaritzburg, KwaZulu-Natal. Utilizing a national distribution channel, we are able to efficiently disseminate premium products to all nine provinces as well as across our international borders. Our main production centre includes a total covered area of 10 000sqm. We employ around 130 staff members (90% black female) at our various centres of operations in Pietermaritzburg, Cape Town, Johannesburg and Port Elizabeth.

While South Africans have become accustomed to paying exorbitant prices for essential items such as nappies, Exigo have formulated a business model that enables us to produce bulk premium product at a lower cost. As added value, we have increased our range to include other essential baby care products. Our primary focus is to add premium quality to higher quantity and thereby make our products more affordable in an ever changing economic climate.

We have two nappy packaging and distribution divisions: one specializing in baby nappies and the other to provide for incontinence in adults. Across both our ranges, we prioritize premium quality and comfort.

We supply wholesale nappies and personal care products to a network of independent retailers across South Africa and neighbouring countries.

We supply nappies and other care products to various government initiatives, including state-run hospitals and clinics and more.

As a forward-thinking business, we have augmented our operations with our full-service eCommerce platform, which allows easy shopping for online consumers.

CORPORATE SOCIAL INVESTMENT

Nappies, sanitary pads and other personal care products are essential items that fulfil continuous and unavoidable needs. Parents need a virtually inexhaustible supply of nappies for several years to care for their babies and toddlers. Girls and women need ongoing, ready access to sanitary pads. The comfort and dignity of some seniors depend on always having incontinence care products on hand. Yet, millions of South Africans, who feel these needs just as keenly as anybody, do not always have the financial ability to fulfill them when necessary.

It is for this reason that Exigo is grateful to be able to give back to our communities by supplying these requirements to the most vulnerable and needy.

Exigo supply stocks of nappies to a number of clinics. These are then given out to mothers who are unable to purchase nappies for their babies. Similarly, these facilities are equipped with stocks of Exigo adult nappies to be given to needy senior citizens in the surrounding communities.

In addition we run a quarterly sanitary pad drive whereby we go out to schools in several disadvantaged areas and provide them with stocks of feminine personal care products. This ensures that school girls do not have to be absent for days because they do not have the means to purchase these basic female hygiene necessities.
